The Master of Science in Biostatistics offers comprehensive education in contemporary biostatistical methods, covering both theoretical foundations and practical applications. The curriculum develops proficiency in statistical inference, linear regression, ANOVA, clinical trial design, epidemiological research methodologies, and programming with SAS and R software, along with consulting skills.

To obtain the MS degree, candidates must fulfill 31 credit hours through core and elective coursework. Following completion of mandatory three-credit courses, students demonstrate their mastery through a comprehensive written examination testing both theoretical knowledge and applied biostatistical skills. This program does not require a thesis. Full-time students typically graduate within three to four semesters.

Qualification Requirements

Individuals with a bachelor's degree in any major, with a background in mathematics and statistics, are encouraged to apply.
You may use the results (no more than two years old) from one of the following standardized tests to satisfy this requirement:

Receive minimum scores of 79 (Internet-based test – iBT) or 550 (Old Paper-based test – PBT) or 22/30 on each of the Listening, Reading and Writing sections (''New'' Paper-based test-PBT) or higher on the TOEFL test.
Receive a score of 6.5 on the IELTS test.

Applicants must submit all applicable official transcripts (undergraduate and graduate). Your transcript(s) must meet the following criteria:

A cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 for your entire undergraduate career, a grade-point average of at least 3.0 for your last two undergraduate years, or exceptional work in your entire final undergraduate year (3.5 or better)
Graduate work with a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 or better even if the undergraduate grade-point average meets the above criteria.
