The Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies is granted following four semesters of pre-professional coursework, encompassing both University general education and Pharm.D. prerequisites, along with successful completion of the initial two years in the Pharm.D. program. These B.S./Pharm.D. degrees are sequential, meaning the B.S. in Pharmacy Studies must be obtained prior to advancing to the final two years of the professional program. Faculty recommendation leads to the Board of Trustees conferring the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies degree upon students who fulfill these criteria:
Achieved 137 credit hours,
finished all first two-year professional program requirements,
met the University's General Education Requirements, and
maintained a minimum 2.0 GPA in all required pharmacy courses.
Note: The B.S. in Pharmacy Studies alone does not qualify graduates to take pharmacy licensing examinations.
