To complete the Latino and Latin American Studies major, students must fulfill at least 37 credit hours of coursework. While not required for admission, intermediate fluency in a Latin American language is mandatory for graduation for those specializing in Latin America, with Spanish proficiency highly recommended for students concentrating on U.S. Latino communities.
