Digital Media is transforming communication, business, entertainment, science, and technology sectors. At the University of Connecticut's School of Fine Arts, the Digital Media and Design program provides students access to cutting-edge facilities, guided by faculty who are seasoned professionals using advanced hardware and software systems. This innovative communication medium excels at presenting complex information across diverse fields including digital art, entertainment, science, business, and social sciences with exceptional clarity and impact.
Though sharing similar core requirements, the BFA is recognized as a professional visual arts degree. It places greater emphasis on artistic creation through additional coursework, enhancing students' capacity to develop and execute visual communication strategies—a focus less prominent in the BA program.
The BA program offers greater flexibility, enabling students to blend Digital Media & Design studies with courses from Engineering, Business, and Liberal Arts disciplines.
