This certificate program aims to equip students with a nuanced grasp of regional politics that transcends media clichés and partisan narratives. Participants will explore contemporary scholarship examining the intricate relationships between Middle Eastern societies, governments, and global actors. Although administered by the Political Science department, the program incorporates cross-disciplinary offerings from fields like Geography, History, Modern Languages, Religious Studies, and Women and Gender Studies. Advanced Political Science courses with Middle Eastern concentrations may also apply.
