Diversity and fairness are fundamental principles of an equitable society. The Justice, Allyship, Diversity, and Equity (JADE) undergraduate certificate has three primary objectives: 1) to help students comprehend and critically examine social disparities, including how different groups face systemic marginalization based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, disability, economic background, immigration status, faith, age, and other factors, 2) to teach students how to utilize data for examining and interpreting social inequities, and 3) to provide students with actionable methods and critical thinking tools for advancing and executing policies and initiatives that support fairness and inclusion across educational, corporate, legal, and other institutional environments. Graduates of the JADE program will gain preparation for a multicultural workforce, along with the expertise and analytical abilities to challenge discriminatory structures. This certification will empower students to become inclusive leaders in various fields, including business, HR, law, nonprofits, education, and government.
