Begin your counseling journey with hands-on training that surpasses other mental health graduate programs in Colorado. Students gain supervised counseling experience at our Student and Community Counseling Center, receiving live guidance and continuous feedback from licensed professionals. Both clinical mental health and school counseling programs require 63 semester hours. Students complete foundational courses applicable to all licensure paths before focusing on specialization-specific coursework. Each track includes a 150-hour practicum and 600-hour internship. This master's program spans three to three and a half years, with two to two and a half years of coursework followed by 12-16 months of practicum and internship experience.
