The Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) doctoral program at CU Denver provides advanced research training spanning both computer science and information systems. This interdisciplinary PhD, granted through the College of Engineering, Design and Computing, facilitates collaborative research bridging computer science with diverse academic domains.
Doctoral candidates collaborate with research centers and faculty across multiple disciplines, including the CU School of Medicine, chemistry, mathematics, biology, all engineering fields, economics, healthcare, and education, alongside industry partners. Applicants must hold a baccalaureate or master’s degree from an accredited college or university or demonstrate completion of work equivalent to the baccalaureate or master’s degree given at CU Denver .
Minimum TOEFL IBT Total Score: 79; TOEFL Sub scores (Reading: 15, Listening: 15, Speaking: 18, Writing: 17).
Minimum IELTS Overall Band Score: 6.5, IELTS Sub scores as 5.5.
Minimum PTE Academic Score Accepted: 58.
