The Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (BAPA), provided by the School of Public Affairs, equips future civic leaders to serve in institutions dedicated to the public good, including government bodies at all levels and nonprofit entities. We channel this enthusiasm, combined with your professional and personal background, to create educational experiences that analyze how systems, institutions, and groups drive societal or policy transformations. Public Administration programs empower students to collaborate with communities in shaping their tomorrow. Our focus lies in advancing public welfare, enhancing organizational capabilities to support individual aspirations, and refining leadership, teamwork, and analytical abilities. The curriculum delves into public service traditions while imparting practical expertise in personnel management, program development, human resources, cross-sector partnerships, ethical decision-making, and effective communication in diverse settings. Those pursuing nonprofit careers can specialize in Nonprofit Management.
Applicants must have completed their high school equivalent qualification, as well as any secondary school coursework completed prior to enrollment in the US.
Applicants to CU Denver must provide proof of English language proficiency (ELP) in order to be considered for full admission.
Minimum TOEFL IBT Total Score: 79; TOEFL Sub scores (Reading: 18, Listening: 17, Speaking: 20, Writing: 17).
Minimum IELTS Overall Band Score: 6.5, IELTS Sub scores as 5.5.
Minimum PTE Academic Score Accepted: 58.
