The Geography program (part of the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences) provides a BA degree featuring comprehensive coursework in geographic principles, primarily instructed by dedicated faculty members. These academic requirements may be updated periodically by the department, with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences maintaining discretion to approve adjustments for individual circumstances. Consequently, students are strongly encouraged to frequently consult with both their major advisor and CLAS advisor when planning their academic path.
Our department focuses on tackling critical environmental challenges. Whether examining how urban development affects social disparities or exploring eco-friendly food systems, we're dedicated to driving meaningful change. This approach allows students to actively contribute to developing solutions that safeguard our collective future.
