The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering equips you for a thriving career in academia or industrial research and development. You can select between a thesis or coursework-focused path to align with your professional goals.
A conventional master's program typically involves research and frequently serves as a stepping stone to a PhD. Our traditional MS program has a selective admissions process that assesses candidates based on their research capabilities and potential for doctoral studies. Thesis completion is flexible within this program.
Our standard Master of Science (MS) degree offers six research focus areas for general interest, though admitted students can enroll in courses across all research domains (excluding limited-access Embedded Systems Engineering classes) to acquire diverse knowledge tailored to their career aspirations.
