This field gained recognition approximately 15 years ago, around 2007, when roles like chief sustainability officers in corporations and urban sustainability directors in government agencies were created. URS practitioners typically serve as managerial leaders with cross-disciplinary knowledge spanning urban planning, legal frameworks, public policy, engineering, and organizational management.
The University of Colorado Boulder's Master of the Environment (MENV) program offers a cutting-edge, multidisciplinary graduate education designed to prepare students for tackling modern environmental issues. Qualification Requirements
To be considered for the MENV program, students must have a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution or the international equivalent. We recommend a minimum of one year of professional experience or applicable training prior to applying. Submit recommendations directly online through the application system. Make sure to give your recommenders enough time to write and submit their letters before the application deadlines listed above, incomplete applications will not be reviewed. The MENV program does not consider the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) as part of its review process. IELTS: 6.0, TOEFL ibt: 75, TOEFL pbt: 537.
