Designed for two primary audiences: (a) individuals aiming to pursue a PhD, whether at CU-Boulder or elsewhere, and (b) those seeking careers in various sectors (including corporate, government, nonprofit, and community organizations). Candidates who wish to transition into the department's PhD program after earning their master's must submit a new application for admission.
The master's degree follows all CU-Boulder graduate school regulations concerning residency, degree completion timelines, and transfer credit limits. Students can fulfill program requirements through either a thesis or comprehensive examination.
