Exploring constitutional law often proves to be one of the most captivating aspects of legal education. Grasping the Constitution and the ongoing discussions about its meaning is crucial for numerous significant policy matters, such as:
death penalty cases and defendants' rights,
state regulations on campaign financing,
solutions for addressing racial and economic disparities in the U.S., and
the balance of power between state and federal governments.

The Byron R. White Center for the Study of American Constitutional Law promotes academic research and instruction in constitutional law while providing students with various ways to utilize their growing constitutional expertise through public service initiatives. Beyond these academic and extracurricular activities, Colorado Law connects students with local attorneys engaged in constitutional cases or policy matters for externships and volunteer legal work.
