The Physics Education Research team within the Physics Department conducts both theoretical and experimental studies to explore how students learn physics and identify factors that facilitate or hinder learning. While primarily concentrating on undergraduate education, our research initiatives cover all educational levels from kindergarten through graduate school, including teacher training programs.

Qualification Requirements

Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, or have done work equivalent to that required for such a degree. Show promise of ability to pursue advanced study and research, as judged by the student's scholastic record. Have adequate preparation to enter graduate study in the chosen field. Have at least a 2.75 (2.00=C) undergraduate grade point average. Proof of English proficiency - TOEFL: Ibt -89. GRE general test results required for all applicants.
