The PhD program prioritizes getting all students engaged in research from the outset. Those joining should be ready to actively collaborate with faculty to shape their research focus and select their specialization early in their academic journey. While changing specializations remains an option, it might extend the program's duration. Importantly, aspiring academics or industry professionals must start developing their curriculum vitae (CV) during the initial phases of doctoral studies. This involves not just formatting the CV properly but also generating high-quality research outputs for inclusion - from conference contributions to published papers. Establishing your research direction early accelerates your ability to enhance your professional portfolio.
