The Environmental Engineering PhD program at CU Boulder welcomes both students beginning their graduate education (with a bachelor's degree) and those holding a Master's. While many applicants have engineering backgrounds, we frequently accept students from diverse disciplines including physics, math, biology, and chemistry.
PhD candidates in CU Boulder's Environmental Engineering Program develop deep theoretical understanding and specialized expertise in their chosen research area.
Typically, students without previous graduate-level coursework require approximately five years to complete the program, though completion times may vary based on individual situations.
