The Engineering Leadership Program (ENLP) tackles leadership challenges in applied sciences through a liberal arts educational approach. It strives to develop engineering leaders with inquisitive minds and strong character, integrating technical skills with ethical values and civic awareness to solve critical scientific and technological issues facing society.
ENLP provides diverse courses on leadership theory and practice, frequently drawing from original texts in history, philosophy of science, ethics, political science, and anthropology. These courses fulfill humanities and social sciences requirements within the College of Engineering and Applied Science, with most structured as interactive seminar discussions. Students deeply engaged with ENLP's curriculum can pursue the Engineering Leadership Certificate and build lasting connections with professors. These students might also consider courses from the Herbst Program for Engineering, Ethics & Society, many of which apply toward certificate requirements.
