The actuarial studies program, provided through the College of Arts and Sciences, equips students with essential mathematical, economic, and financial skills needed to pursue careers as actuaries—the quantitative strategists behind insurance and pension systems. Participants in this program may come from any academic discipline or college, including non-degree seekers. Admission requires completion of three calculus semesters with minimum B grades. To receive the certification, students must complete specified coursework in mathematics, economics, and business. The College of Arts and Sciences dean confers this certificate upon successful completion.
