The Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance caters to exceptionally skilled and driven students aiming to pursue professional careers in choreography or performance. Participants delve into the creative process and fundamental principles of dance composition and teamwork. The program offers training in diverse dance genres such as contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, transnational fusion, African dance, and improvisational performance. Aspiring students can audition for the BFA program prior to enrolling at CU Boulder, with tryouts occurring during High School Dance Day in October or November. Current CU Boulder dance majors may submit applications during their first or second year's fall semester.

For review and decision purposes only, we will accept academic records unofficially from you. If you receive an admission decision and choose to attend CU Boulder, you will be expected to provide your final official transcripts. If you are admitted while still attending classes, your final academic records will be required upon completion of the course work or program. Academic records written in languages other than English must be accompanied by a literal certified English translation.
