CU Boulder's Bachelor of Arts in cinema studies and moving image arts focuses on analyzing film as an artistic medium. As a cinema studies student, you'll investigate diverse subjects such as movie history, cinematic analysis, film theory, and documentary techniques. The program offers practical training through classes in film/video production, scriptwriting, producing, performance, direction, and animation, available in both digital and traditional formats. The BA program features two specialization tracks: critical studies or production. Alongside the College of Arts and Sciences' general requirements and core cinema studies courses, each specialization has additional credit requirements:
