The Bachelor of Arts in Astronomy offers students a comprehensive understanding of solar and space sciences, planetary systems (including both our solar system and exoplanets), stellar and galactic astronomy, and cosmological studies. Our program delivers practical learning experiences that prepare graduates for advanced academic pursuits or professional opportunities in aerospace, technology, or computer-related fields. Students develop into versatile analytical thinkers with expertise in solar and space sciences, planetary systems, astronomy, and cosmology, leading to rewarding careers in academia, aerospace, technology, and computing sectors.
The BA in Astronomy features two specialized pathways: general astronomy and astrophysics/physics. Students can select their preferred track upon starting their studies or defer this decision until completing core coursework in astronomy, physics, and mathematics (typically after approximately 23 semesters).
