Registered nurses (RNs) serve as primary caregivers in patient-focused healthcare. They handle essential responsibilities such as providing medical treatment, informing patients and communities about health conditions, and offering guidance and comfort to patients' relatives. RNs document medical backgrounds and symptoms, assist with diagnostic procedures, operate healthcare equipment, deliver treatments and prescriptions, and support recovery and follow-up care.
They instruct patients and families on managing health issues, covering at-home care after treatment, nutrition and fitness routines, plus self-administering medicines and therapy. RNs additionally organize wellness checkups, vaccination drives, donation campaigns, and educational workshops about different medical concerns.
