The Master of Music in Voice program at UC's College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) provides exceptional instruction from faculty at one of the nation's top vocal and opera departments. The curriculum focuses on cultivating essential abilities: technical proficiency, language mastery, musicality, and scholarly knowledge. Core vocal techniques are developed through both art songs and opera repertoire, with progressively challenging pieces introduced as students advance. Performance training includes mandatory study of multiple languages, specifically English, Italian, German, and French, with grammar coursework required in the three foreign languages. Musical growth occurs through opera productions, choir participation, and coursework in music theory and history.

Statement Essay - While the video essay portion found in the graduate application is not required for CCM applicants a 500word written personal statement is required This should include within the graduate application your degree objectives frank observations of your professional and personal strengths and weaknesses any significant professional experiences or honors you were awarded as well as any other information you feel the faculty and admissions committee should know.

Letter of Recommendation - One letter of recommendation is required for all MM performance DMA performance and AD applicants However other degree programs may require 2-3.
