CCM's Collaborative Piano program stands among the finest in the world. As an all-Steinway school, CCM provides exceptional resources including over 170 pianos (one of the globe's most extensive collections of new Steinway instruments), distinguished faculty members, and chances to collaborate with renowned artists in top-tier performance spaces.
MM Collaborative Piano candidates refine their skills through weekly private instruction with faculty mentors, involvement in chamber ensembles, and regular recital performances. The program fosters numerous performance opportunities, allowing students to showcase solo recitals while collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists. Academic rigor is maintained through music theory, musicology studies, and diverse elective options.
Our distinguished faculty provides personalized guidance while creating performance opportunities throughout the tri-state area and internationally. Master classes feature guest artists of the highest caliber, including luminaries like Emanuel Ax, Barry Douglas, Gary Graffman, and Claude Frank.
Alumni of the program hold prominent teaching positions at prestigious conservatories worldwide, while others excel as performers, composers, orchestrators, and competition directors.
As part of the University of Cincinnati - a leading research university with over 40,000 students - CCM benefits from its unique position within a comprehensive public institution. This dynamic environment shapes CCM's mission: to cultivate complete artists and scholars prepared for global leadership in their fields.
