The University of Cincinnati's EdS School Psychology Program focuses on training skilled school psychologists through a scientist-practitioner approach. Graduates gain the expertise to positively impact educational systems by implementing current, evidence-based practices that benefit children and families. Those completing the specialist-level program qualify for school psychologist licensure, enabling them to assist children and families within school settings.

Our graduate program adopts an ecological-behavioral perspective with a commitment to social justice. Students develop a robust behavioral foundation grounded in applied behavior analysis principles while learning culturally responsive service delivery methods. The curriculum emphasizes ongoing cultural competency development and advocating for equitable systems to serve all students effectively. A consultative, collaborative problem-solving approach forms the core of our training methodology for enhancing child and family outcomes.

This three-year full-time program includes coursework and practical experiences during the first two years. After completing the initial year, students receive an MEd in Foundations in Behavior Analysis. The final year involves a comprehensive school-based internship to solidify professional skills.
