The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computing Systems provides a Doctor of Philosophy program in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering.
Our graduate research setting offers outstanding opportunities to engage in innovative and demanding projects. Financial support is sourced from prominent national and state research organizations including NSF, NIH, NASA, Army Research Office, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Office of Naval Research, and Ohio Department of Transportation. The department boasts exceptional research and instructional resources, featuring 32 faculty members and advanced research labs equipped with cutting-edge technology spanning hardware/software systems, artificial intelligence, neural networks, image processing, electronic design automation, MEMS, microsensors, millimeter wave and photonic technologies, nanoelectronics, and optoelectronics.
