CCM's Doctor of Musical Arts in Organ program provides advanced organ students with exceptional training in technique, artistry, and scholarship within Cincinnati's vibrant arts community. Students benefit from access to seven on-campus pipe organs and numerous regional instruments, learning from distinguished faculty in top-tier performance spaces.
This performance-focused program features weekly private instruction, chamber music guidance, and extensive practical experience. DMA Organ candidates present solo and ensemble recitals while studying repertoire, teaching methods, performance practice, music history, and research techniques, culminating in a scholarly project. The distinctive cognate program allows specialization in a secondary field. Our renowned faculty provide personalized mentorship and performance opportunities locally and internationally, with encouragement to gain professional experience through church internships.
CCM's faculty emphasize both classical organ literature and contemporary works, offering performance engagements with regional arts groups, churches, and the American Guild of Organists. Alumni hold prominent positions as educators at global conservatories and as performers, composers, and competition directors.
