The One-Year Option enables Ohio Technical Center (OTC) graduates who finish programs of 600+ hours and earn industry-recognized credentials to receive technical credit toward an Associate of Technical Study (Type B) degree. This Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) program aims to establish a statewide system for granting technical credits, complementing existing agreements like Career-Technical Assurance Guides (CTAGs). Qualified students can receive 20-30 semester hours of block credit for approved OTC programs, applicable toward the 60-credit ATS degree.
