CCM's Artist Diploma in Keyboard Performance (Piano, Organ, or Harpsichord) blends historical traditions with the essential skills needed for today's music careers. The Keyboard Division at CCM stands among the finest, featuring an all-Steinway campus where students can access over 170 pianos (one of the largest collections of new Steinways globally), eight harpsichords, a fortepiano, a clavichord, and seven pipe organs. Students also benefit from learning and performing alongside renowned musicians in top-tier facilities.
The AD Keyboard Performance program emphasizes mentorship, with private instructors providing technical and musical guidance while supporting students' broader educational growth. Our distinguished faculty offers personalized instruction and performance opportunities locally and internationally.
The curriculum is demanding, focusing on solo and ensemble performance while allowing customization to address each student's unique abilities. Statement Essay - While the video essay portion found in the graduate application is not required for CCM applicants a 500word written personal statement is required This should include within the graduate application your degree objectives frank observations of your professional and personal strengths and weaknesses any significant professional experiences or honors you were awarded as well as any other information you feel the faculty and admissions committee should know.
Transcripts - Please upload unofficial transcripts from each institution youve attended to your online application Please note official transcripts are NOT required during the application process.
Letter of Recommendation - One letter of recommendation is required for all MM performance DMA performance and AD applicants However other degree programs may require 2-3.
Audition and Interview - While prescreening submission is required for all applicants not all applicants will be invited to audition or interview In some cases applicants will receive a final admission decision based solely off their prescreen submission In other cases faculty will request an additional audition or interview.
