Biology explores living systems across time, from ancient to modern. The College's faculty maintains that a solid biological foundation is crucial for comprehending our existence, the natural world, and addressing humanity's critical challenges while contributing to potential solutions. Our program spans diverse disciplines, ranging from theoretical frameworks to hands-on experimentation, covering molecular genetics to ecosystem dynamics. As a premier research institution, our Biological Sciences Collegiate Division emphasizes scientific inquiry, investigation, and breakthroughs. The program aims to provide students with: (1) mastery of established biological principles and their experimental basis, and (2) recognition of current knowledge limitations and emerging research possibilities. Bachelor of Science (BS): The BS program caters to students seeking deeper specialization through advanced coursework, research participation, and a culminating thesis. Graduates will: (1) master experimental design methodologies, (2) contribute to data collection in research projects, (3) critically assess research findings, (4) contextualize data within specific biological disciplines, and (5) articulate their research through a comprehensive BS Thesis.
