College students have the opportunity to earn a Master of Arts in Humanities while completing their undergraduate studies. Those accepted into this program follow tailored academic paths aligned with their research goals and career aspirations. Participants can craft individualized study plans within any Humanities Division department—including Philosophy, English Language and Literature, or Art History—focusing on a single discipline or exploring interdisciplinary approaches. Alternatively, they may opt for structured tracks within specialized MAPH concentrations such as Gender and Sexuality Studies, Theater and Performance Studies, Digital Humanities, Cinema and Media Studies, Classics, Cultural Policy, or Creative Writing. Undergraduates interested in pursuing a concurrent MA should initiate discussions with their College advisor during third-year Autumn Quarter, consult their major's director of undergraduate studies, and subsequently meet with the MAPH Program's associate director and the Humanities Division's dean of students.
