The Comparative Human Development program examines individuals throughout their lifespan, exploring how social, cultural, biological, and psychological factors collectively shape development across various environments. This field provides a distinctive perspective for addressing fundamental social science inquiries, such as understanding societal transformation and the interplay between biology and culture. Faculty from diverse disciplines—including anthropology, biology, psychology, and sociology—investigate subjects ranging from mental health experiences and socioeconomic influences on growth to cross-cultural societal challenges and evolving youth identities in developing nations. With its interdisciplinary approach, the program equips students for advanced academic pursuits or careers requiring comprehensive insight into human behavior—such as mental health services, education, social work, healthcare, or organizational roles in community and corporate sectors.
Students are required to have high school equivalent of US qualification.
Applicants are required to have score of 100 or higher on the Internet-Based TOEFL or 600 or higher on the Paper-Based TOEFL. Minimum required scores on the IELTS are an overall score of 7.0, with subs cores of 7.0 each. The minimum acceptable score on the PTE is 70
