Earning a Mental Health certificate as an independent qualification or complementing your primary degree at the University of Central Missouri offers an excellent opportunity to pursue your interests while acquiring essential clinical expertise for mental health professions. This 12-credit undergraduate certificate results from a partnership among UCM's Criminal Justice and Criminology, Human Development and Family Science, Psychological Science, and Social Work departments. Developed with input from professionals in corrections, mental health, and juvenile justice fields, the program strengthens critical skills needed by law enforcement personnel, correctional officers, probation/parole agents, social workers, mental health practitioners, and healthcare professionals in their daily work.
An earned degree from a regionally accredited United States college or university with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.0 or higher or a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Earned at least 24 semester hours of regular university credit from an accredited United States college or university.
