Observe your surroundings, and you'll notice engineering achievements in every direction. From bridges and aircraft to computer networks and solar energy, these are all creations of engineers. They devise and construct structures, devices, systems, and methods to tackle the most intricate challenges of our time. Engineering is a vital and expanding discipline. By enrolling in the Cooperative Engineering program at the University of Central Missouri, you'll gain the essential foundational knowledge and courses required to seamlessly transition into an Engineering program at a partner institution. How do engineering and engineering technology differ? Both routes can lead to a career in engineering, but they differ in curriculum and emphasis. Engineering programs demand higher-level mathematics and science to build theoretical understanding, while engineering technology emphasizes laboratory work to apply theory in practical settings. Our Engineering Technology degrees adopt a hands-on methodology, utilizing tools and technology to turn designs into reality. If you're interested in a more theoretical, analytical, and design-focused engineering degree or intend to pursue graduate studies in engineering, our Cooperative Engineering program will prepare you for achievement.
