The Master of Science in Nanotechnology equips students with expertise and research skills in nanoscience and nanotechnology. This program readies graduates for careers in industrial and academic nanotechnology research, product innovation, and commercialization, or for pursuing doctoral studies in related fields.
Spanning 30 credit hours across Fall, Spring, and Summer terms, the Nanotechnology MS program admits students in both Fall and Spring semesters, with completion typically taking two years.
The curriculum blends interdisciplinary scientific coursework with hands-on nanotechnology research training. Courses are taught through in-person instruction, featuring 3 credit hours of independent study and 6 credit hours of thesis research guided by faculty at the NanoScience Technology Center. This practical training enables students to gain experience in nanomaterial synthesis, nanostructure creation and analysis, and developing applications in their chosen specialties.
