The Biomedical Sciences Master of Science program offers a non-thesis curriculum designed for students aiming to enhance their expertise in the field and pursue careers in healthcare, academia, or scientific research. Those seeking thesis-based research opportunities should consider the Master of Science in Biotechnology program instead. This degree features five specialized pathways: Cancer Biology, Infectious Diseases, Integrated Medical Sciences, Metabolic and Cardiovascular Sciences, and Neuroscience. Additional information about these specializations can be found at the end of this page.
Although students often develop interests across multiple disciplines at the University of Central Florida, the College of Medicine does not allow dual majors within its programs. Medical college students may combine a major with a minor within the college or pursue secondary academic programs in other UCF colleges. Academic advisors are available to help students explore these educational options.
