The Literary, Cultural and Textual Studies concentration within the English Master of Arts degree equips students for diverse professional paths, both within and beyond academia.

This curriculum fosters interdisciplinary analysis across various text types (critical works, theoretical writings, academic publications, literature, etc.), promotes high-level research and analytical skills, and cultivates exceptional scholarly writing abilities.

Degree requirements include completing 33 credit hours with three mandatory core classes. During their final semester, students undertake a Capstone Course and select between a thesis track or a non-thesis alternative involving an additional 3-credit 6000-level course in Literary, Cultural and Textual Studies.

Research methodology training is integrated throughout the program, culminating in a specialized research project and final paper centered on literary criticism within each student's chosen focus area.
