The Biomedical Sciences PhD program integrates biological and physical sciences in an interdisciplinary approach. Designed to train students in both independent research and collaborative teamwork within the discipline.

Prospective PhD candidates can apply to earn a non-thesis Master of Science (MS) degree concurrently, which will be granted upon reaching candidacy. To qualify for the MS degree, students must complete all coursework (minimum 33 credit hours) while fulfilling the PhD program's requirements.

The GRE is not required for admission to this program. Three letters of recommendation. Statement of research interest and purpose, including a summary of relevant work or research experience. Résumé or CV. A personal or telephone interview. Applicants to this program, except those that have earned or will earn a Masters or Doctoral degree from an accredited U.S. institution recognized by UCF, who have attended a college/university outside the United States must provide a course-by-course credential evaluation with GPA calculation. Minimum UCF Requirement for TOEFL/IELTS TOEFL iBT score of 80 IELTS band score of 6.5
