The Environmental Art & Social Practice MFA is a distinctive two-year, on-campus graduate program designed for artists passionate about addressing ecological and social justice issues through their creative work. Guided by globally-acclaimed artists and supported by interdisciplinary faculty, this program merges a top-tier public university's resources with the Art Department's commitment to multidisciplinary artistic exploration. Participants transform their environmental and social justice passions into innovative art through a curriculum featuring research projects, seminars, faculty guidance, elective courses, guest artist interactions, and group critiques. Through solo and collaborative work—both in studios and real-world settings—students explore diverse methodologies to develop their artistic vision while examining art's transformative potential in driving societal change.
