The objectives for the UCSC B.S. in robotics engineering are:
Graduates pursuing industry, government, or academic careers will become effective engineers, scientists, or educators demonstrating leadership, technical proficiency, teamwork, and commitment to professional growth.
Graduates continuing to advanced degrees will gain entry to graduate programs and thrive as graduate students.
Educational Experience
Faculty engage in multidisciplinary hardware and software research encompassing embedded and autonomous systems, digital media, sensor technology, assistive devices, and robotics. Students undertake a senior design capstone course, selecting either corporate-sponsored projects or self-designed initiatives. Undergraduates participate in Computer Engineering Department research through independent studies, paid positions, and Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs.
