The Spanish Studies interdisciplinary major immerses students in exploring the rich cultural traditions and creative expressions of Hispanic communities across the United States, Latin America, and Spain, both historically and in contemporary contexts.
Academic Approach
With a Humanities-focused curriculum, this program develops students' language proficiency and cultural awareness to engage meaningfully with Spanish-speaking populations. Students gain comprehensive knowledge about the historical evolution and cultural landscapes of Spanish-speaking nations, as well as regions where Spanish interacts with other dominant or minority languages.
