The Global and Community Health (GCH) program at UC Santa Cruz consists of two distinct tracks. The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree provides two specialization options—biomedical or public and community health—designed to equip students for careers in healthcare, patient services, health administration, public health, or advocacy. Meanwhile, the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) program focuses on teaching students to tackle social factors affecting health, developing their abilities to become leaders in healthcare systems, health policy, public health initiatives, and community engagement.
