The Environmental Studies Department focuses on analyzing, comprehending, and tackling ecological problems through an interdisciplinary lens. This philosophy shapes our research, education, and initiatives that connect natural and social sciences, transforming how we perceive the roots and remedies for today's intricate environmental concerns. Central to our methodology is understanding how planetary deterioration and societal inequities are deeply connected. Our scholars conduct environmental research across various social, ecological, and human-influenced systems and urban landscapes. Our academic programs prioritize hands-on learning and develop real-world environmental problem-solving abilities, equipping students to better confront 21st-century ecological dilemmas. We are dedicated to embracing and implementing diversity in our knowledge frameworks, analytical methods, educational practices, departmental makeup, and community involvement.
