Pursuing a B.M. in Music Performance with a focus on one of 14 instruments or voice, you'll receive personalized one-on-one instruction from our exceptional faculty—accomplished soloists, opera performers, orchestral musicians, and master educators who perform globally. You'll gain hands-on experience through in-class performances, chamber music recitals, and participation in major ensembles like the chamber choir, orchestra, wind ensemble, brass choir, contemporary music group, and yearly opera productions. Your coursework in music history, theory, and analysis will be taught by esteemed professors who direct doctoral programs. Our extensive music library, stocked with scores, literature, and recordings, will be at your disposal. During your junior and senior years, you'll present a public recital in one of our three premier concert venues, preparing you for solo performance opportunities, teaching careers, or advanced studies. Regular masterclasses with visiting international artists and renowned composers further enrich your education.
