In the coming years, embedded wireless solutions are projected to grow exponentially, impacting diverse industries ranging from consumer electronics and healthcare to transportation systems and industrial production. Future embedded wireless devices demand specialized design considerations, requiring significantly reduced size, cost, and energy usage compared to current mobile phones. Developing these innovations calls for expertise spanning systems engineering, software development, hardware design, and communication principles. The MAS in Wireless Embedded Systems presents an interdisciplinary educational model, equipping engineering professionals with advanced skills to lead in this rapidly expanding domain. This graduate degree is awarded by UC San Diego and administered jointly by its Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering departments.

Some exceptional applicants with lower GPAs may be recommended for admission.
