The Scripps Institution of Oceanography provides advanced degree programs in Oceanography, Marine Biology, and Earth Sciences. Graduate studies focus on one of three primary academic tracks: the Climate-Ocean-Atmosphere Program, Geosciences of Earth, Oceans, and Planets, or the Ocean Biosciences Program. The curriculum highlights the interconnected nature of marine and earth science research. Qualification Requirements

Candidates for admission should have a bachelor's (BS) or master's degree in one of the physical, biological, or earth sciences, in some cases a degree in mathematics or engineering science is accepted.
