The UC San Diego Psychology Department focuses on researching human and animal behavior through experimental and theoretical approaches, along with studying mental processes. Psychology majors will gain expertise across diverse subject areas while acquiring fundamental skills in experimental methods and data analysis. Our curriculum covers all principal fields of experimental psychology, with specialized tracks including clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, health psychology, sensory studies, and social psychology. We also provide a business psychology major and a combined program with Cognitive Science in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience. Prospective or current psychology majors should strongly consider meeting with the Psychology Student Affairs Office to thoroughly comprehend all degree requirements.
