The Psychology Department at UC San Diego focuses on researching both human and animal behavior through experimental and theoretical approaches, along with exploring the workings of the mind. Psychology majors will gain expertise across diverse subject areas while acquiring fundamental skills in experimental methods and data analysis. Our curriculum covers all key domains of experimental psychology, with specialized tracks including clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, health psychology, sensory processes, and social psychology. Additionally, we provide a business psychology major and a collaborative program with Cognitive Science in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience.
