The Psychology Department at UC San Diego focuses on researching human and animal behavior through experimental and theoretical approaches, along with studying mental processes. Psychology majors will gain expertise across diverse subject areas while acquiring fundamental skills in experimental methods and data analysis. Our curriculum covers all principal fields of experimental psychology, with specialized tracks including clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, health psychology, sensory processes, and social psychology. Additionally, we provide a business psychology major and a collaborative program with Cognitive Science focusing on cognitive and behavioral neuroscience.
